pre-manufacturing planning, engineer-
ing and design, including consultation
directly with each customer. As Mr.
Mandelker says, “the customer will
ultimately showcase AFL Display’s
work”.
The company runs innovative
stocking programs in order to meet
customer demands. Finished goods
can be stored in AFL’s warehouse or
shipped to a clients’ warehouse for
internal distribution. The AFL team
can handle all the logistics of major
rollout coordination and consolidation,
including picking, packing and ship-
ping to individual stores across North
America.
THE CUSTOMER IS #1
My father taught me that the
customer is everything. I make that
the first lesson to every employee who
comes to work at AFL Display,” Mr.
Mandelker insists. “My philosophy
is that you can have the best organi-
zation, the best equipment, the best
processes, the most thorough purchas-
ing—but if you don’t have customers,
you have nothing.
AFL Display takes customer sat-
isfaction seriously. “Our goal is to sat-
isfy the customer first, and after we’ve
done so, we strive to ensure we’re be-
ing profitable in the process,” he adds.
Insight on the part of the manage-
ment, and having an excellent team of
employees, has contributed to AFL’s
ability to address the nuances of a cus-
tomer’s needs.
For example, in late 2012, AFL
Display created a line of saw horse
tables for upscale Lord & Taylor and
Bay stores in North America. The ta-
bles AFL created were both functional,
presenting merchandise in an open
and user-friendly way, and decorative.
These stores demand the highest qual-
ity and a prestigious visual, and AFL
delivered: producing more than 1,000
tables for the international roll-out,
each created with an eye-catching de-
sign and finishings.
What sets us apart? You only
need to look at the long-term relation-
ships we have with our customers.
We do everything humanly possible
to make them happy. We’re not com-
ing up with world-changing products;
we’re making commodity items, and
doing that well. If we don’t create our
products efficiently and competitively
we won’t be able to do it at all, because
our customers will go to someone
else,” Mr. Mandelker comments.
AFL Display’s customer base is
a testament to the company’s success.
The company has ensured that only
quality products leave their manufac-
