CANADIAN INDUSTRY ONLINE - OCTOBER 2015Canadian base. What milestones will be achieved in the next few years when it comes to international growth? From a revenue standpoint, our new C Series commercial aircraft and Global 7000 business jet are expected to generate profitable growth both in traditional and non-traditional mar- kets, when they enter into service in the first half of 2016 and the second half of 2018, respectively. We notably see opportunities in emerging coun- tries for our fully-automated INNO- VIA Monorail 300 System, following successes in São Paulo, Brazil and Ri- yadh, Saudi Arabia. From a manufacturing stand- point, Bombardier Aerostructures andEngineering Services has inaugurated a new facility in Casablanca, Morocco, in 2015. This site is expected to employ 850 skilled and trained workers by the end of 2020, up from approximately 200 at the end of last year. It currently produces simple structures including flight controls for the CRJ Series air- craft. On the rail transportation side, we have announced the creation of new joint ventures in China over the past few months. These joint ventures are tapping the growing market for innovative rail solutions such as high- capacity monorails and automated people movers, as well as signaling and rail control. What portion of revenue is dedi- cated to Canadian R&D and why is this important?16
