the South Kent Wind project, Ontario’s
largest wind farm at 270MW.
According to RES, the energy
from Halkirk “is sold into the Alberta
spot market, and Pacific Gas and Elec-
tric Company (PG&E) is purchasing
the Renewable Energy Credits (RECs)
under a 20-year fixed-price agree-
ment.”
Clibbons says that the company
has intentions to continue growth in-
ternationally and in key North Ameri-
can markets. “We are actively pursuing
north-eastern Europe, and key emerg-
ing markets for renewables right now
such as south America,” he notes.
