editor’s noteWe hope you are as excited as we are about our cover story: an exclusive interview with Canada’s own science hero Art McDonald.We rst heard about Art when we covered a story on SNOLAB in Sudbury, all the way back in 2013. A direc- tor of the facility, Art has made international headlines winning the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics, and we were so honoured to speak with him as he continues his world speaking tour—Art’s team’s research into neutrinos has positively altered the way the world looks at the concept of mass.The pervasive theme of our interview is how sci- ence and industry come together to do great things, and as you’ll learn from our other pro les this month (espe- cially our interview with Angstrom Engineering), indus- try could do so much more with higher R&D budgets.
